Bonchon offers delivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub and Postmates, plus pickup and curbside through its own site at order.bonchon.com. Not every app serves every location, since Bonchon's US restaurants are independently franchised.

Delivery is for convenience, not savings. Menu prices on the apps run roughly 12 to 48 percent above in-store, before service fees, delivery fees and tip are added. Pickup through Bonchon's own site avoids all of it.

This page covers all of it: which channel to use, what each one costs, and the specific things that go wrong with Bonchon delivery that do not go wrong with other takeout.

App availability varies by location. Bonchon's 150-plus US restaurants are independently franchised, so a location on DoorDash may not be on Uber Eats.

Check which apps deliver to you. Coverage differs by location, so it is worth checking more than one — the same restaurant is often on two apps at different prices. If pickup works for you, order.bonchon.com is cheaper than both.

Check DoorDash → Check Uber Eats → Enter your address to see whether your nearest Bonchon delivers.

What Delivery Actually Costs

The markup on delivery apps is not a fee added at checkout. It is built into the menu price before you see it — restaurants raise app prices to offset the commission the platform charges them.

Here is what that looks like against Bonchon's standard in-store pricing.

ItemIn-storeSeen on delivery appsDifference
Bulgogi Fries$13.99$15.69+12%
MoPo Corn Dog$4.99$5.79+16%
Seoul Sampler$33.99$40.29+19%
Korean Tacos$11.95$16.79+40%
Takoyaki$8.15$11.99+47%
Bao Buns$11.35$16.79+48%
Potstickers$10.55$15.59+48%

Delivery prices observed on DoorDash and Uber Eats listings in September 2026. The difference combines platform markup and regional price variation — Bonchon locations in high-cost cities charge more in-store too. Treat these as the range you should expect, not a fixed rate.

Then The Fees

Menu markup is only the first layer. A typical Bonchon delivery order adds three more.

LayerTypicalNotes
Menu price markup12–48%Built in before checkout
Service fee~15%Percentage of subtotal
Delivery fee$0–6Waived with DashPass, Uber One, Grubhub+
Tip15–20%Optional but expected

Worked example. A Small order of wings ($14.95), potstickers ($10.55) and steamed rice ($2.05) comes to $27.55 picked up in store.

The same order on a delivery app: roughly $18 for the wings, $14 for the potstickers, $3 for the rice — call it $35 subtotal — plus a $5 service fee, $3 delivery and a $7 tip. Around $50.

That is roughly 80 percent more for the same food. Whether that is worth it is your call — but it is worth making that call with the number in front of you.

Three Things That Go Wrong With Bonchon Delivery

1. Your Complimentary Side Goes Missing

Every Bonchon chicken order includes one free side — pickled radish or coleslaw. Delivery orders frequently do not include it unless you add it explicitly.

This matters more at Bonchon than it would elsewhere. Pickled radish is not a garnish in Korean fried chicken culture; it is the palate cleanser that makes twenty wings edible in one sitting. Twenty wings without it is a different meal.

Before you check out, scan your basket. If pickled radish or coleslaw is not there, add it. Full details of what comes with what are on our Bonchon sides menu page.

2. The Crunch Does Not Survive The Drive

Bonchon's coating is the product. It comes from a double-fry — coated, fried, rested, fried again — which produces a shell that shatters rather than softens. That shell has one enemy, and it is steam.

Sealed in a container for a forty-minute drive, the chicken steams itself. Sauced orders suffer most, because the glaze holds moisture against the coating.

What helps: order sauce on the side where the location allows it, open the container as soon as it arrives rather than leaving it closed, and reheat in an air fryer or oven rather than a microwave. Our guide to reheating Bonchon chicken covers the method in full.

3. Prices And Menus Differ Between Apps

The same Bonchon location can appear on DoorDash and Uber Eats at different prices, with different items available. Regional items — kimchi coleslaw, fried pickles, miso soup — often appear on one platform and not the other, and sometimes on neither despite being available in store.

If an item you want is missing from the app, it is worth calling the restaurant. We cover which items fall into this category in 4 Bonchon items not on the main menu.

How To Order For Pickup

Pickup avoids every layer of markup, and Bonchon's own ordering site handles it directly.

  1. Go to order.bonchon.com and enter your address or postcode.
  2. Select your location. Prices load per restaurant, since franchises price independently.
  3. Build your order. The complimentary side is easier to spot here than on delivery apps.
  4. Choose pickup or curbside where offered.
  5. Pay online and collect. Typical wait for a fresh double-fried order is 15 to 20 minutes.

Delivery apps also offer pickup at the marked-up menu price, so ordering pickup through an app costs more than ordering pickup through Bonchon. DashPass does give $5 back on pickup orders, which narrows the gap without closing it.

Getting Delivery Costs Down

If delivery is the plan, these four moves make the largest difference.

MoveSavingWhy
Order a combo boxVariesSides bundled below separate price — and markup applies once, not per item
Compare two appsUp to 30%The same restaurant is often priced differently
Use a subscription$3–6 per orderDashPass, Uber One and Grubhub+ waive delivery fees
Order once, not twiceFull fee stackFees are per order, not per item

The combo point is the one most people miss. Because markup is a percentage, bundling reduces the number of marked-up line items. A 12-piece combo with two sides costs less on an app than the same chicken and sides ordered separately. Our Korean fried chicken page lists what each combo includes.

Ready to order delivery? Check both apps before you commit — the same Bonchon is frequently cheaper on one than the other, and coverage differs by address. Add your complimentary side before you check out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Bonchon deliver?

Yes. Bonchon delivers through DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub and Postmates, depending on location. Because Bonchon's US restaurants are independently franchised, a location available on one app may not be on another. Bonchon also offers pickup and curbside through order.bonchon.com.

How do I order Bonchon online?

For pickup at menu price, order through order.bonchon.com and select your location. For delivery, use DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub or Postmates. Delivery apps also offer pickup, but at marked-up menu prices.

Is Bonchon more expensive on DoorDash?

Yes. Menu prices on delivery apps run roughly 12 to 48 percent above in-store, before service fees, delivery fees and tip. A $27.55 in-store order can reach around $50 delivered — approximately 80 percent more for the same food.

How long does Bonchon delivery take?

Around 40 minutes on average, though it varies with distance, traffic and how busy the kitchen is. Bonchon's double-fry method takes longer than standard fried chicken, so allow extra during peak hours.

Do you get free sides with Bonchon delivery?

Chicken orders include one complimentary side — pickled radish or coleslaw — but delivery orders frequently omit it unless added explicitly. Check your basket before checking out and add it if it is missing.

Does Bonchon chicken stay crispy during delivery?

Not fully. The double-fried coating steams inside a sealed container, so some crispness is lost on a 40-minute drive. Ordering sauce on the side helps, as does opening the container immediately and reheating in an air fryer rather than a microwave.

Is Bonchon on DashPass?

Many Bonchon locations are DashPass eligible, which waives the delivery fee, reduces service fees and returns $5 in credit on pickup orders. Look for the DashPass icon next to the restaurant name. Eligibility varies by location.

Can I order Bonchon for pickup?

Yes, through order.bonchon.com or by phone, and many locations offer curbside collection. Pickup through Bonchon's own site charges menu price with no markup, which makes it the cheapest way to order. Allow 15 to 20 minutes.

Which delivery app is cheapest for Bonchon?

It varies by location. The same Bonchon restaurant is frequently priced differently on DoorDash and Uber Eats, so checking both before ordering is worth the minute it takes. Cheapest of all is pickup ordered directly through Bonchon.

Does Bonchon do catering?

Yes. Catering is arranged directly with your local restaurant rather than through delivery apps, since portions and pricing are set locally. For smaller groups, the party packs and combo boxes on the regular menu usually work out cheaper.

Prices verified September 2026 against Bonchon's menu, order.bonchon.com and delivery app listings. Bonchon's US restaurants are independently franchised — prices, app availability and delivery areas vary by location.
